Your role:
As an Infrastructure Engineer at Hadrian, your primary goal is to contribute to continuous improvement, ensure platform stability, and empower development teams to enhance their efficiency, quality, and safety. You will play a crucial role in the automated delivery of infrastructure components to development teams through infrastructure-as-code practices. Being an expert in ensuring compliant implementations of components will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
What you will do as an Infrastructure Engineer at Hadrian:
- Automated Infrastructure Delivery:
- Take charge of automating the delivery of infrastructure components to development teams using cutting-edge infrastructure-as-code practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless and efficient provisioning of infrastructure will be key for your success in this role.
- Compliance Expertise:
- Demonstrate expertise in ensuring compliant implementations of components within the infrastructure. Your role involves being updated on industry best practices and compliance standards, implementing them effectively in the infrastructure setup.
- Collaboration with Teams:
- Work closely with our engineering teams to foster collaboration and support and act as the go-to expert for deployments onto cloud components, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Key Success Metrics:
- Ensure that infrastructure within Hadrian is easy to provision for teams and maintain a 99.95% SLA for the uptime of core infrastructure within Hadrian.
You are fit for this job because you:
- Possess at least 3-5 years of experience in an infrastructure role, combining expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform and/or have experience as a DevOps/Platform engineer, specializing in building self-service platforms for engineering teams.
- Have a strong background in systems engineering, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Show proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Are experienced with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards innovation and continuous improvement.
- Are fluent in English and have the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Have a proven track record of turning infrastructure requirements into workable and scalable solutions.
- Thrive in a role where your main purpose is to unblock others.
- Possess a keen understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices and can provide valuable guidance to development teams.
Bonus points if you:
- Are familiar with Knative, event-based architectures, Kafka, and observability tooling.
- Hold certifications related to Kubernetes (Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)) and AWS.
