Hadrian has been recognized as one of the top innovators in the Netherlands, securing a spot on the prestigious 2025 TW R&D Top 50 list. This shows Hadrian's commitment to research and development, placing us among the country's most ambitious and forward-thinking companies.
The TW R&D Top 50 is an annual ranking compiled by Technisch Weekblad (TW), TNO, and VNO-NCW, offering a comprehensive overview of companies investing heavily in R&D within the Netherlands. This year's list expanded from 30 to 50 companies to better display the broadening landscape of innovation, including emerging scale-ups, deep-tech firms, and international players with growing Dutch R&D operations.
Also filling out the Top 50 alongside Hadrian on this list were fellow tech champions Nierfield Instruments, Axelera, SMART Photonics, Quantware, and LeydenJar. These key start-ups, known as the Tech Champions, make up a diverse group of the technology companies that reflect the key technologies necessary to meet the standard of the National Technology Strategy (NTS) as defined by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Driving growth through Agentic AI innovation
Hadrian is proud to be recognized alongside industry giants like ASML, Philips, and Booking.com. Our inclusion in this expanded list shows the vital role that agile, high-growth companies play in the Dutch innovation ecosystem. We’re a start-up, but that gives us a lot of latitude to direct research budgets how we like. The report explicitly notes Hadrian as one of the "fastest risers" on the list, characterized by tactical investments that have driven our exceptional growth rates. This is because of our strategic focus on rapidly developing and deploying agentic AI offensive security technologies in attack surface management, adversarial exposure validation, and beyond.
We know the importance of innovation in the cybersecurity industry. As part of our commitment to delivering our customers “the hacker’s perspective,” we stay focused on developing solutions that stay ahead of evolving threats. We’re market shapers in the offensive security space, and we have seen the difference our investments have made.
Helping to protect innovators, too
The 2025 R&D Top 50 reveals a vibrant and diverse innovation ecosystem in the Netherlands. One interesting point to note is a number of our Dutch-based customers are also included on the list, including Damen Shipyards Group. Not only are we innovators ourselves, we are also protecting innovators from cybercriminals who threaten their bottom line.
For Hadrian, being part of this group of powerful and visionary companies is an honor. It also happens to be a motivation. This recognition lets us know we are headed in the right direction. We know the power of agentic AI is going to change how companies see cyber threats, but we know there is opportunity in agentic AI for defenders, as well. We want to continue to grow and pour dedicated investments into our technology and research. Hadrian will continue to invest heavily in our R&D efforts, driving the advancement of offensive security threat management and contributing to the Netherlands' reputation as a global leader in innovation.
We extend our congratulations to all the companies included in the 2025 R&D Top 50.
