Your role:
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Hadrian, you'll be at the core of our technical operations, ensuring our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. Your primary goal is to fortify our existing infrastructure landscape and actively contribute to its continuous enhancement. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring platform stability, empowering development teams to work more efficiently, and upholding a commitment to safety in our operations.
What you will do as a Infrastructure Engineer at Hadrian:
- Automated Infrastructure Delivery: Spearhead the automated delivery of infrastructure components to development teams through the implementation of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles. Your expertise will be critical in architecting, defining, and building a self-service infrastructure platform to expedite and streamline the workflow for our development teams.
- Compliance Expertise: Serve as an expert in ensuring compliant implementations of components within our infrastructure. Your role involves guaranteeing that all components adhere to established compliance standards, fostering a secure and reliable operational environment.
- Observability Pipeline Management: Take charge of maintaining an observability pipeline and providing guidance to development teams on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices. Your expertise will contribute to a robust monitoring system that enhances the overall reliability and performance of our infrastructure.
- Key Success Metrics: Ensure that infrastructure within Hadrian is easy to provision for teams and maintain a 99.95% SLA for the uptime of core infrastructure within Hadrian.
You are fit for this job because you:
- Possess at least 5 years of experience in an infrastructure role, combining expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform and/or hold 3-4 years of experience as a DevOps/Platform engineer, specializing in building self-service platforms for engineering teams.
- Exhibit a track record of successful compliant implementations of infrastructure components.
- Showcase the ability to turn abstract infrastructure requirements into practical and scalable solutions.
- Have a solid background in architecting and defining self-service infrastructure platforms to accelerate development workflows.
- Bring a commitment to ensuring platform stability and safety in all aspects of infrastructure operations.
- Possess a keen understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices and can provide valuable guidance to development teams.
Bonus points if you:
- Are familiar with Knative, event-based architectures, Kafka, and observability tooling.
- Hold certifications related to Kubernetes (Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)) and AWS.
